Toty Brand Visual Identity Photoshoot

A Behind-the-Scenes Case Study of My Photoshoot with Toty

When Toty approached me to photograph their latest product launches, I was immediately drawn to their focus on scientifically formulated, radiant skincare products. Their emphasis on innovation and elegance inspired me to create visuals that not only showcased their products but also reinforced their brand identity. Over the course of the year, I had the privilege of crafting imagery for Toty’s quarterly product launches (Q1 to Q4), ensuring each photoshoot aligned with their vision. Below are select highlights from these collaborations.

Preproduction: Setting the Foundation for Success

From the outset, Toty’s marketing team had a clear vision of the mood and aesthetic they wanted to convey. Collaborating with a client who understands their brand identity not only saves valuable time but also helps streamline the creative process, ensuring every decision aligns with the brand’s goals.

For each shoot, my role extended beyond being the photographer. I served as a director and retoucher, leading a skilled team that included a stylist, digi-tech, and assistant. Together, we meticulously planned the lighting, styling, and compositions to ensure every image brought Toty’s products to life.

The Photoshoot Process: Creating a Positive and Creative Environment
On set, I prioritize fostering a positive, collaborative, and comforting atmosphere for the team, models, and clients. A successful photoshoot isn’t just about technical skill; it’s about effective communication, setting the tone, and ensuring everyone feels aligned with the creative vision. Throughout the shoot, I maintained open communication with the client, providing live image previews and incorporating feedback in real-time to refine the visuals. This hands-on approach ensured that we stayed true to Toty’s expectations while delivering high-quality results.

Overcoming Challenges:
One of the key challenges during the Toty shoot was working with hard light on metallic product surfaces. Toty’s visual identity draws inspiration from sunlight and tropical warmth, requiring the lighting to convey a sense of radiance. To achieve this, I relied heavily on the Profoto Hard Box to create crisp, directional light that complemented the metallic textures of the packaging. This setup allowed us to capture both the sleek design and the warmth that embodies Toty’s brand essence.
