Let me say that SEO works. The client found me because of the blog I did with Voyager Brands. So I suggest writing blogs for your website even though it takes time!! Now to the project introduction.
The client reached out to work on a Heavy Hitters 25th Anniversary Product Launch: Acapulco Gold. It was "sought-after marijuana for American smokers, considered better quality than the weed growing in California or Texas." The client wanted to communicate the concept of liquid gold and tie it into the overall theme of black, creating the "Black Gold" Concept. The main prop idea was Metallic acrylic paint and gold dust + slow-acting epoxy.
The client inquired about the product launch video, teaser video, and 15 images with concept liquid gold on black background. The contents were to be used for Social and digital usage. I estimated this will be 2 1/2 days worth of the shoot (set up/lighting, photo, and video day).
With the given information, I worked on the following concept board:
Once everything was approved, we moved on to the preproduction.
In the preproduction part, it was mostly sorting out what props I may need and getting it approved by the client with the prop budget. Mainly, I was looking for gold liquids, gold dust, and dark textured props. I found most of the props at Blick's with acrylic inks and different types of inks. For the rest, I searched through Amazon.
As for the setup, I rented out the LED Tube, Arri 1k, Panasonic GH5 for slow-motion films, D850, Zeiss 100mm, Profoto D2, Edelkrone motorized jib&head&Pan, Softbox, Atomos Ninja 4k and more.

These are the result of the shoots! I am more of a photographer than a videographer so this was a fun experience to do more videos. I would say I am starting to get more into product video and this was a good project to get my feet into.
